As the theatrical saying goes, “The show must go on,” and the APA and Global Payroll Management Institute’s (GPMI) infamous “show” will forge ahead with the in-person return of its annual Payroll Congress.

During his Closing General Session presentation “The Economic Pandemic: An Evolutionary Revolution Accelerating Disruptive Innovation Post Pandemic,” Daniel Burrus, a leading technology forecaster and innovation expert, talked about businesses post-COVID-19.

California payrolls are always a challenge, and 2021 is no exception.

During the Congress Xstream General Session on Thursday, industry expert Max van der Klis-Busink, RPP, presented “A Global Payrollercoaster in the Big Leagues” to talk about how payroll professionals can up their game and join the elite in their industry.

In their workshop session “Payroll Developments: What to Expect in 2021 and Beyond,” two APA experts discussed the latest COVID-19 relief measures, new legislative and regulatory initiatives, and how payroll professionals can be prepared for what lies ahead.

Keynote Speaker Carla Harris, Vice Chairman and Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, shared her proven strategies for success with a full virtual crowd during the APA’s Congress Xstream Opening General Session May 18.

APA Executive Director and GPMI President Dan Maddux and new APA President Bruce Phipps, CPP, will be available to chat and answer questions virtually every day during Congress Xstream this week during a series of 30-minute Meet and Greet sessions in their networking lounges.
