Argentina's Tax and Customs Authority (ARCA) has expanded access to digital payroll information for private-sector workers by making Mi Liquidación Digital available via the Mi Argentina app. Private-sector employees who are part of the Digital Payroll regime can now securely access their payroll information without a fiscal password.
The new functionality allows employees to view details of their salary payments, including gross pay, deductions, and employer contributions to Argentina's social security system. Information on pensions, health insurance, family allowances, the National Employment Fund, and other statutory contributions is also available in the application.
The initiative forms part of Argentina's wider digital government programme, which aims to simplify access to public services and increase transparency for employees. By making payroll information available via a secure mobile application, employees can access their payroll data more easily without relying solely on traditional payslips or employer portals.
The service is currently available to employees whose payroll information is submitted via ARCA's digital payroll system, and it builds on the existing Mi Liquidación Digital service introduced in 2024. Employees can now access the same information directly via the widely used Mi Argentina application.
Argentina's expansion of Mi Liquidación Digital via the Mi Argentina application reflects a broader trend towards digital payroll transparency and government-supported employee self-service. While the initiative does not alter payroll calculations, it increases the visibility of payroll information and underscores the importance of accurate reporting and high-quality payroll data.
For payroll leaders, developments like this demonstrate that payroll is no longer only about paying employees correctly, but also about providing transparent, accessible, and trusted payroll information. Government agencies have joined this strategic shift, and global payroll leaders should look to deploy similar initiatives across their scope to improve the HR and payroll experience.
