Plant the Seeds for Multi-State Payroll Compliance

From April 7-23, PayrollOrg’s Payroll Issues for Multi-State Employers course will be offered virtually to help your multi-state compliance knowledge bloom. Take it as an interactive virtual webinar in a classroom setting or as a regular live webinar in four segments (also available as a webinar on demand).

The course features information necessary to maintain compliance in every state in which you pay employees. Attendees will learn about the employer obligations of having employees working in other states and how to determine which state’s income tax should be withheld from employee pay. The latest updates to state paid leave laws, including paid family leave and paid sick leave, will also be covered. Attendees will also find out which states have earned wage access laws and regulations in effect.

New for this year, find out about state conformity with H.R. 1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA; Pub. L. 119-21), including which states are offering deductions for “no tax on tips” and “no tax on overtime.”

As employees have become more mobile since the COVID-19 pandemic and return to office mandates, understanding the implications of having employees working in new states is crucial. The course covers state withholding, state wage and hour laws, state wage unemployment insurance laws, state new hire reporting requirements, and much more!
