The Kentucky Department of Revenue (DOR) has extended the filing deadline for Forms W-2 and Forms K-5, Kentucky Employer’s Report of Withholding Tax Statements, to February 15, 2020, because of intermittent technical issues with the K-5 web portal. The original filing deadline was January 31, 2020.The deadline extension also applies to Forms 1099 submitted to the DOR [Kentucky DOR, News].
Other web filing methods are still available. For more information, see the DOR Employer Payroll Withholding website, under Withholding Statement Filing Options.
Note that this extension does not extend the deadline for employers to provide Forms W-2 to their employees (due by January 31).
