BSI’s TaxFactory Updates Tax Tables for 2018
Business Software, Inc. (BSI), a provider of U.S. payroll tax profile, tax calculation, and tax filing, updated the tax tables within its TaxFactory payroll tax calculation software in accordance with the latest Internal Revenue Service (IRS) withholding tax table information for 2018. The IRS released it income tax withholding tables on January 9, 2018 reflecting adjustments made by the tax reform legislation (Tax Cuts and Jobs Act—115-97) on December 22, 2017.
Employers are advised by the IRS to begin using the 2018 withholding tables no later than February 15, 2018.
“For almost four decades, we have provided value to our clients by offering the most up-to-date payroll tax information available, as quickly as possible,” said Russell Rindik, BSI Vice President of Operations. “We are proud of our efforts to stay abreast of all the changes occurring at the federal, state, and local levels and to keep our customers and partners apprised of what they need to know in order to calculate payroll taxes correctly.”

David’s Bridal Adopts Ceridian Workforce Management
National chain David’s Bridal is the latest big retailer to join HCM and workforce management system (WFM) vendor Ceridian to help automate management and meet the needs for employees’ demands for flexibility.
The bridal retailer’s recent rollout of the Ceridian WFM module was specifically for the retailer’s corporate center and its 600 employees in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The suburban Philadelphia complex, which previously was mostly using paper to track employee scheduling, also includes a contact center and two distribution facilities.
Kathryn Lopez, HRIS manager at David’s Bridal, said a team from Ceridian was on site to help with the installation and continues to provide support.
“The strength that they have in their support department is that they have people who specialize in certain areas,” Lopez said. “Beyond implementation, I have somebody that if I need help on time and attendance, I call him and we have a different person for data imports and exports.”
