Effective October 1, 2022, the Hawaii minimum wage will increase to $12 an hour from $10.10 an hour [H.B. 2510, L. 2022]. The minimum wage will increase again to: $14 an hour on January 1, 2024, $16 an hour on January 1, 2026, and $18 an hour on January 1, 2028.
Also effective October 1, 2022, the Hawaii tip credit will increase to $1 an hour from 75 cents an hour. The tip credit will increase to $1.25 an hour on January 1, 2024, and $1.50 an hour on January 1, 2028.
