APA is offering members a free [**webinar**](https://ebiz.americanpayroll.org/ebusiness/Education/ViewClass.aspx?ClassID=7445), *Form I-9 – The Employment Eligibility Verification Process*, which will be presented by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on September 20 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. EDT.

Employers must verify the identity and employment authorization of each person they hire by completing and retaining Form I-9, *Employment Eligibility Verification*. They must also refrain from discriminating against individuals on the basis of national origin or citizenship.

During this webinar, attendees will learn:

- Important features of the Form I-9
- Step-by-step instructions for completing each section
- Form I-9 retention and storage requirements
- How Form I-9 is used for E-Verify
- Form I-9 best practices for employers
