Las Vegas Performer Brings Message of Passion, Purpose to Congress
It might not have been at a casino on the Strip like he’s used to, but Keynote Speaker and Las Vegas headlining performer Jeff Civillico presented his interactive session, “Work That Matters,” for Congress attendees during this afternoon’s luncheon.
The session, sponsored by Workday, touched on themes of gratitude, paying it forward, and life coming full circle. It included practical strategies that can be applied to anyone’s current personal or professional situation. All of the topics were woven into a fun, high-energy, Las Vegas-type headline show (juggling included).
Civillico said his own career goals remind him of the meaningful work of payroll professionals around the world and the importance of doing what makes you happy.
“Just like Congress attendees, I've succeeded over the years by sticking to my values,” he told Congress Today during an interview.
Overall, Civillico said he hopes his performance Wednesday afternoon renewed a sense of passion and purpose in the lives of all attendees.
“I want them to walk away more engaged with what they do and why they do it,” he said. “So often we think of a career in a given industry as the ending point. What if we flipped that mindset? I would like attendees to use this idea in their daily lives and to realize that every individual has a platform."
