Year-End Compliance Webinar Focuses on Preparing for 2021

APA’s Preparing for Year-End and 2021 seminar provides updates on the latest changes in legislation and regulations that affect the close of 2020 and the first payroll of 2021. With many employees working remotely, the seminar will help attendees prepare for a year-end that is sure to be unlike any other. The seminars are sponsored by rapid!.

What Attendees Will Learn

Attendees will:

  • Learn how COVID-19-related legislation and agency guidance will continue to impact their organizations
  • Understand the IRS’s proposed withholding regulations, which are consistent with the redesigned 2020 Form W-4
  • Find out the latest developments in flexible spending account (FSA) rules, including an increase in the maximum carryover amount
  • Examine recent Department of Labor opinion letters illustrating Fair Labor Standards Act compliance issues

Several Options, Dates Available

APA is offering the year-end programs in three formats: interactive virtual classroom, live webinar, and webinar on demand. For more information and to register, visit APA’s Preparing for Year-End webpage.

The interactive, one-day virtual classroom courses will be held over 14 days between October 26 and November 16 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in different time zones. The live webinar will be delivered on November 11, 13, 17, and 19. The four class segments are also offered on demand beginning on November 25.

What’s New at This Event

Registrants have the option to ask questions in advance by sending an email to answers@americanpayroll by October 16. Also, the learning does not end at the conclusion of the seminar. Attendees will receive a FAQ document that will provide answers to the top questions asked during the year-end seminar presentations and inform them of any new compliance requirements or agency guidance.
