Withholding Tax Added to New Pennsylvania Tax Portal in November

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (DOR) announced that withholding tax will be added to the new myPATH tax portal in late November [DOR, Online Services].

The new portal will replace the e-Tides system. The DOR recommends that employers wait until late November to create a myPATH profile for withholding tax reporting and payment. Beginning in late November, third-party tax professionals with access to client accounts in e-Tides will be able to migrate account access into myPATH.

The DOR plans to keep select e-TIDES functions available for approximately 90 days after the completion of the next phase of myPATH (including filing Forms W-3 and making associated payments).

Also beginning in late November, the Pennsylvania Online Business Entity Registration will be replaced, and employers will be directed to the Pennsylvania Online Business Tax Registration via myPATH.
