Webinar: Communicating Major Changes to 2020 Form W-4 to Employees

As a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the IRS is substantially revising Form W-4. Even the form’s title will change. An APA webinar on September 26 will explain the changes from previous drafts, cover the instructions for nonresident withholding, and discuss how employees will claim exempt from withholding.

The new draft Publication 15-T also includes four additional employer worksheets that we will examine. Lastly, we will cover how to communicate these major changes to your employees without giving tax advice.

The IRS has released the second drafts of the 2020 Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Certificate, and Publication 15-T, Federal Income Tax Withholding Methods, so that payroll system programming can begin.

The webinar will be presented by:

Andrew Garboden, CPP
Director of Payroll Training

Karen Ward, CPP
Director of Payroll Training

Alice Jacobsohn, Esq.
Senior Manager, Government Relations
