U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that employers should continue to use the current version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, even after the expiration date of August 31, 2019 [I-9 Central, What’s New, 8-27-19]. USCIS said it will publish a revised version as soon as it becomes available.
USCIS also reminded employers that they must complete Form I-9 for all newly hired employees to verify their identity and authorization to work in the United States.
