State Payroll Compliance Issues Featured at Virtual Congress

APA’s Virtual Congress, June 24-25, will provide attendees with the information they need to stay in compliance with new and existing state and local payroll laws. There are 12 educational workshops offered, along with three general sessions and a Thought Leadership Session. Here are some focusing on state payroll compliance issues.

Wednesday, June 24

Employer Pay Cards: Staying on the Right Side of Compliance will cover federal and state compliance challenges to an alternative method of wage payment and the opportunities presented by pay cards.

Thursday, June 25

Overpayments: Recovery and Prevention will explain the federal and state regulations affecting an employer’s ability to recover overpayments. This workshop will review the payroll tax process for overpayment recovery crossing quarters and years and provide tips for avoiding overpayments.
