San Antonio Paid Sick Leave Did Not Take Effect December 1

A recent court ruling prevented San Antonio’s paid sick leave ordinance from taking effect as scheduled on December 1, 2019. The ordinance will remain on hold pending an ongoing court case [City of San Antonio, Statement Regarding Sick and Safe Leave Ruling, 11-22-19].

Updates on San Antonio’s paid sick leave ordinance and the ongoing litigation will be available on the city’s Sick and Safe Leave website.

Previously, a Texas district judge approved an order to delay the effective date of San Antonio’s paid sick leave ordinance to December 1, 2019, from August 1, 2019.
