The New York Department of Taxation and Finance (DTF) has announced changes coming the week of March 24 to withholding tax forms and the online Web File services. The changes impact employers on filings due in March. Updated paper forms are available now. The DTF is streamlining the forms and filing processes to make filing easier for employers. The changes were first announced last year.
Beginning with filings due in March, the first three parts (A, B, and C) of Form NYS-45, Quarterly Combined Withholding, Wage Reporting, and Unemployment Insurance Return, must be filed together as a single return. Also, if employers are required to report “wages” and “other wages,” both must be submitted together on one return.
