On August 1, a new online system for filing quarterly unemployment insurance (UI) tax reports and making UI tax payments will launch. The launch date was moved to August 1 from June 1 to allow more time for employer preparation and testing, according to the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR). In Florida, the DOR calls UI tax “reemployment tax.”
Beginning August 1, the following forms must be filed using the new system:
- Form RT-6, Florida Department of Revenue Employer’s Quarterly Report
- Form RT-8A, Correction to Employer’s Quarterly or Annual Domestic Report
- Form RT-7, Florida Department of Revenue Employer’s Reemployment Tax Annual Report for Employers of Domestic Employees Only
Employers will have the opportunity to upload test files before the go-live date of August 1.
