The National Child Support Enforcement Association (NCSEA), in which APA is a member, released a free podcast “Rounding Out and Sorting Out: An Employer-Focused Conversation on Child Support.” This episode of NCSEA On Location is the first in a series of free podcasts focused on engaging with one of the child support program’s important contributors: employers.
This episode of NCSEA On Location comes from Virginia, Illinois, California, and Alaska. Co-hosts Pat O’Donnell and Tim Lightner introduce several guest speakers, including Corri Flores, Director of Government Affairs – Wage Garnishment, Compliance & Shared Services for ADP, Inc., and Sherri Grigsby, Deputy Director of the Division of Federal Systems with the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE). Flores is chair of APA’s Government Relations Task Force Child Support Subcommittee.
In the podcast, Flores and Grigsby help sort out and understand employers’ roles within the child support program. They discuss the history of the child support program in the United States and who it touches, and who it helps. They round out their discussion with the how and why of employer responsibilities for assisting with the child support program. More information from the conversation is available on OCSE’s website.
