Make a Difference with Money Matters; Volunteer and Scholarship Opportunities Await

Written by PayrollOrg Staff | Aug 19, 2024 3:36:32 PM

Money Matters is an annual program that, through the help of volunteers, teaches paycheck basics to young adults. Through Money Matters, students will learn how to complete a Form W-4, the difference between net and gross income, different ways they can receive their pay, and more.

As a Money Matters volunteer, you will make an impact on the lives and futures of young adults in your community. By teaching paycheck basics, you will set students up for a stronger financial future, providing them with the tools they need to successfully navigate the working world.

In addition to the essential education provided through volunteers, PayrollOrg and Dayforce, the 2024 Money Matters Sponsor, are offering three Money Matters Scholarships. This year, there will be one $5,000 scholarship and two $1,000 scholarships offered to any high school junior, senior, or an individual pursuing higher education. Applicants must correctly answer five questions based off the Money Matters student workbook to be entered into the drawing for the scholarships.

The scholarship program will run twice during the 2024 – 2025 school year. The first scholarship deadline is September 30, 2024.

Money Matters is an incredible tool to educate young adults and help them gain confidence in managing their finances. Sign up to volunteer today.
