Bring home the gold during National Payroll Week 2020 and join volunteers around the country who teach paycheck basics to teenagers and young adults for Money Matters National Education Day, September 10.
Wherever you’re hoping to teach, the digital versions of the “Bring Home the Gold” teaching materials make it easy to present the program in-person or virtually from the comfort of your own desk!
Volunteers will coach students on important payroll related topics like understanding the 2020 Form W-4, the difference between net pay and gross pay, and the benefits of direct deposit vs. paycards. With the “Bring Home the Gold” curriculum, you will also help students understand deductions, banking fees, and overtime pay.
As a “thank-you” from the APA, volunteers who teach an in-person or virtual presentation will earn 1 RCH and receive a special citation from APA’s Executive Director.
Sign up to be a volunteer for Money Matters National Education Day and encourage students to go for gold!
