# Maine 2026 Withholding Tables Now Available

Effective for wages paid on or after January 1, 2026, Maine Revenue Services (MRS) has issued updated [**withholding tables**](https://www.maine.gov/revenue/sites/maine.gov.revenue/files/inline-files/26_wh_tab_instr.pdf) \[MRS,*[***Maine Tax Alert***](https://www.maine.gov/revenue/sites/maine.gov.revenue/files/inline-files/ta_november2025_vol35_iss15.pdf)*, November 2025\]. The booklet contains updated instructions, percentage method withholding tables for 2026, and wage bracket withholding tables for 2026.

The supplemental wage tax rate remains 5% for supplemental wages paid separately from regular wages.

For 2026, the personal exemption amount is $5,300 and the basic standard deduction amounts are $15,300 for single and $30,600 for married individuals filing joint returns.
