Engage With Four Certificate Programs, Three General Sessions

In today’s dynamic economy of innovative technology and a new generation of workers, payroll professionals need to confidently lead their teams into the future.

PayrollOrg’s annual Payroll Leaders Conference (PLC) is back to unveil next-generation training to payroll professionals through four innovative certificate programs and three general sessions. The conference will be hosted at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, September 23-25.

The conference will also announce recipients for this year’s Prism Awards, which recognize payroll and shared services departments exhibiting best practices in management, processes, technology, and more.

Four Unique Certificate Programs

PLC’s exclusive certificate programs are ideal for U.S.-based and global payroll professionals who want to increase their leadership and management skills or aspire to be leaders within their organizations. Attendees can choose from one of the following four programs to improve their payroll education and training:

1. Payroll OMG (Optimization, Management, & Growth)—Payroll OMG helps professionals at every level understand how to produce a perfect paycheck, reduce cost, eliminate waste, and celebrate a highly effective workforce.

2. Government/Public Sector—Explore all the unique issues confronted by government/public sector payroll professionals, such as the special Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exception involved in exempt and nonexempt employees, compensatory time, police/fire exceptions, and much more.

3. Advanced Payroll Concepts—Increase your ROI with advanced payroll training while ensuring your ability to prepare Forms W-2c and 941-X. This program also includes information on white collar exemption rules, complex benefits issues, payroll systems, leadership concepts, and more.

4. Advanced Global Payroll Management—Take a deep dive into a comprehensive approach to the global payroll delivery model, the role culture plays, and the development of global payroll teams and career opportunities. Attendees can earn up to 16 RCHs, 1.6 CEUs, or 19 CPE credits for these programs. No prerequisites or advance preparation is required.

“The Payroll Leaders Conference is a great opportunity to network and connect with other managers, as well as learn valuable tips for your day-to-day process,” said prior attendee Jessica Chatman, CPP, Client Support Manager at Payroll Partners. “I found the conference to be a renewal in spirit and motivation to be the best leader I can for my team and organization.”

Keynote Speakers

The conference will kick off with two presentations during the Opening General Session and the luncheon on Monday, September 23. Keynote Speaker Shirelle N. Francis, PMP, CSM, will inspire attendees with her presentation, “Igniting Resilience: A Mission to Empower Leaders.” Francis will spark the conference by motivating attendees to tackle adversity and stay confident to lead their teams to success. Meanwhile, Alice Jacobsohn, Esq., Director of Government Relations at PayrollOrg, will present “Seeing Ahead: Compliance Leadership Through Government Interaction” during the General Session Lunch.
