The Kentucky Department of Revenue (DOR) has extended the filing deadline for Forms W-2 and Forms K-5, *Kentucky Employer’s Report of Withholding Tax Statements*, to February 15, 2020, because of intermittent technical issues with the K-5 web portal. The [**original filing deadline**](https://www.americanpayroll.org/news-resources/apa-news/news-detail/2020/01/09/state-electronic-magnetic-media-w-2-reporting-deadlines-are-approaching) was January 31, 2020.The deadline extension also applies to Forms 1099 submitted to the DOR \[Kentucky DOR, [**News**](https://revenue.ky.gov/News/Pages/K-5-Due-Date-Extended-Until-February-15,-2020.aspx)\].

Other web filing methods are still available. For more information, see the DOR [**Employer Payroll Withholding website**](https://revenue.ky.gov/Business/Pages/Employer-Payroll-Withholding.aspx), under Withholding Statement Filing Options.

Note that this extension does not extend the deadline for employers to provide Forms W-2 to their employees (due by January 31).
