Help Shape the Future of Payroll—Take, Share the NPW Survey

Each year during National Payroll Week® (NPW), PayrollOrg invites workers across the country to participate in the “Getting Paid In America” survey. This nationwide survey captures valuable insights into how Americans receive their pay, understand their deductions, and plan for their futures.

For payroll professionals and organizations, the survey is more than a data collection tool—it is an opportunity to illuminate the importance of payroll in the financial lives of millions of workers.

To help the “Getting Paid In America” survey reach a wide and diverse audience, we encourage you to actively share it throughout your organization and community. Even small outreach efforts can significantly increase participation.

Here are some effective ways to share the survey to help PayrollOrg spread the word:

  • Use Internal Communications: Highlight the survey in your company newsletters, intranet posts, or regular employee updates to keep it top of mind. Adding the survey link to your payroll or HR team’s email signatures is a simple touch that makes a substantial difference. You can also place QR codes on posters or digital screens in common spaces, so employees can participate in seconds.
  • Leverage Social Media: Elevate the survey’s visibility by sharing it across your personal and, if possible, your organization’s social channels throughout National Payroll Week. Use #PayrollWeek when sharing and encourage employees to share it on their own pages as well.
  • Incorporate the Survey With Other NPW Activities: Make the survey part of the energy and excitement of your NPW celebrations. Create a “Survey Pit Stop” with a QR code for employees to quickly take the survey. Consider setting up your survey station near the coffee maker, in the lunchroom, or even on your virtual meeting background.
  • Extend Outreach to Community: Share the survey beyond your organization with local chambers of commerce, business groups, and community partners. Schools and colleges with business or finance programs are also suitable places to encourage participation. You can even include the survey in materials for job fairs or community events held during NPW to broaden its reach.
