The APA continues to branch into virtual learning with the new free online event “Payroll Benchmarking Trends: An Online Forum.”
The online event, which takes the place of the APA’s Annual Payroll Leaders Conference (PLC), provides payroll professionals the opportunity to stay connected and up to date with the latest developments in payroll benchmarking and education from anywhere in the world. Sponsored by DailyPay, the three-hour forum will include announcing the results of Deloitte’s Payroll Benchmarking Survey, the recipients of the APA’s 2020 Prism Awards, and DailyPay’s 2nd Annual Trailblazer Award.
Payroll Benchmarking Survey Results
Deloitte is one of the largest collectors of payroll data in the marketplace. Results from the survey, which is solely sponsored by the APA and the Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI), help leaders and payroll professionals make actionable decisions that improve employee experience, compliance, accuracy, and efficiency and give attendees insight into current payroll operations and trends to help facilitate their departments to the best of their abilities. Deloitte’s survey also includes breakdowns of payroll features including talent, technology, outsourcing, and more.
Deloitte presenters will also be hosting a Q&A portion for attendees after the results are revealed.
Prism Awards
The APA’s annual Prism Awards, formerly hosted during PLC, will also be announced during the online event. The awards, presented by the APA’s Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force (SPLTF), recognize innovative payroll and shared services departments of all sizes for their improved business practices, shared services, and overall processes. Departments are awarded in four categories: technology, management, processes, and overall best practices. The Shared Services Prism Award, selected by the Shared Services Task Force, will also be given to an organization of any size that has demonstrated excellence in shared services.
DailyPay Trailblazer Award
Event sponsor DailyPay, a provider of daily pay benefits, will announce its own annual Payroll Trailblazer Award winners during the online event. The award, which was introduced in 2019, recognizes nominees in the payroll industry who demonstrate leadership qualities by introducing and innovating new systems, coaching others, and driving business value from the payroll department. Last year, the company recognized nine winners out of 80 nominees—all working in the payroll industry.
