To solve the growing need for payroll industry service providers (vendors) to reach prospective buyers in 2021, the APA and GPMI have created the inaugural Payroll Solutions Showcase—a free, virtual event scheduled for July 13 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET that will remain available on demand until December 31. Register at the APA website.
Find the Right Solutions
In this interactive event, vendors and companies will be able to seek out the best solutions to their specific payroll problems by participating in product demos, case studies, and product user interface sessions.
“I think it’s important that people can come together in the easiest way possible to discuss business challenges and find out how we can help each other,” said Tara O’Sullivan, Chief Marketing Officer of showcase participant Immedis. “Everything we do in global payroll is focused on helping organizations streamline, simplify, and accelerate accurate payroll delivery.”
Gain Extra Education
Not only can attendees participate in private one-on-one discussions with payroll vendors and providers to help them find solutions their companies need, but they can also gain some education as well. Four panel discussions will take place during the event—two in the morning and two in the afternoon—in which up to 4 RCHs can be earned. The panels include the following:
- “Reshaping the Employee Experience”—from 10:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. ET
- “The Big Picture: Payroll & HR Systems”—from 10:30 a.m. -11:45 a.m. ET
- “Redefining the Day to Day: Working Smarter, Not Harder”—from 2:05 p.m.-3:15 p.m. ET
- “Pay at Their Fingertips”—from 2:05 p.m.-3:15 p.m. ET
During the panel “Redefining the Day to Day: Working Smarter, Not Harder,” participating companies will talk about the importance of embracing automation and technology to help drive data analytics—the central point of many business decisions.
“Payroll is chock full of untapped opportunities and data insights that payroll teams can leverage to have a strategic business impact across the organization,” O’Sullivan said. “The direct interactions will be a great way to demonstrate this. Overall, I think it will be extremely valuable for everyone participating.”
Shop Together as a Payroll Team
Payroll teams have the opportunity in this virtual environment to participate together. Research and comparisons on participating vendors and solutions can be made as a group in this free event all in one day.
“I talk to payroll practitioners on a regular basis, and if there was ever a role where there simply wasn’t a moment to waste, it’s in payroll,” said Rachel Rapoza, FPC, Product Marketing Manager at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group).
UKG is another vendor partaking in the event and Rapoza said her company is invested in simplifying the entire payroll process from end to end and wants to connect with as many customers as possible—from global multinational organizations to small businesses.
“They’re facing constant change within their own business. At the same time, technology is rapidly evolving. That’s why events like this one by the APA and GPMI are so important. I’d encourage everyone to look for a solution provider who will work as a partner in lockstep to help you meet your goals.”
Linda Obertin, CPP, Director of Shared Services at DXC Technology, is looking forward to the Payroll Solutions Showcase because it will be a more “holistic, solution-based forum” that can meet the “complex business requirements” of companies across the country.
“Payroll leaders and their teams need to be aware of the multiple options available to provide effective and compliant solutions for organizations,” Obertin said. “As a responsible leader, it is critical to monitor and stay informed of industry trends and potential solutions for our firm to deliver the highest quality and most effective services.”
