The article, “How Communication Center Helps Employers,” written by APA Director of Government Relations Alice Jacobsohn, Esq., is featured in the May 2022 edition of the Child Support Report, a monthly e-newsletter published by the federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE).
As our government partners continue to modernize their systems to help streamline processes and improve performance, one of the latest updates comes from the OCSE in the form of their Communication Center.
The Communication Center provides crucial technological advancement, enabling payroll professionals to manage child support more easily and quickly. Prior to the unveiling of Communication Center, employers were only able to use the Child Support Portal for a limited number of functions. Outside of the few topics it covered, employers were relegated to email, fax, or mail communications with OCSE and state child support agencies.
With the implementation of Communication Center, employers are now able to exchange information on a wide range of topics, from specific IWOs to general program questions.
