On June 25, government executives from the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) will deliver messages for payroll professionals during the Federal Executive Government Session at APA’s Virtual Congress.

Steven Dillingham, Director of the U.S. Census Bureau, will discuss the important contributions made by payroll professionals to the five-year economic census, as well as efforts to modernize the methods used to collect data. The Census Bureau is currently undertaking the 2020 decennial census, which aims to count every person in the United States and five territories.

Scott Lekan, the Principal Deputy Secretary of the Administration for Children and Families and Acting Commissioner of the Office of Child Support Enforcement will address the important role payroll professionals play in the support of America’s next generation. It is estimated that one out of five children in the United States is covered by a child support order, with three-quarters of all child support collected through wage withholding.

APA’s Virtual Congress will be webcast June 24-25 and will be available on demand through September 25. View the full agenda and register now.
