On July 13-14, 2022, the National Council of Child Support Directors (NCCSD) is holding an Employer Symposium in Boston at Suffolk University Law School near the Boston Common. This is a critical event for payroll professionals to interact with state child support directors and present employer perspectives on child support reporting and withholding. You and your colleagues are invited to attend.
“Employers are child support’s most important partners and NCCSD has invited payroll representatives to discuss key topics about the important work we do together,” NCCSD conference organizers said.
The American Payroll Association is participating in NCCSD’s Employer Collaboration Workgroup to discuss problems and solutions in the management of child support. The Employer Symposium brings together federal, state, and payroll representatives to discuss areas of mutual interest, including lump-sum reporting and withholding, new hire reporting, withholding for independent contractors, and streamlined ways to obtain and maintain accurate employer information. The more payroll voices in attendance, the greater the success.
The cost of the symposium is $80 and registration is required (scroll to “Employer Symposium ONLY (no annual meeting and conference)”). The conference hotel is the Omni Parker House with a rate of $239 per night. The link to book your room is available until June 20, https://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/boston-parker-house/meetings/national-council-of-child-support-07112022.
