Special Report: APA’s 2020 Virtual Capital Summit in the May issue of Payroll Currently (Issue 5, Vol. 28) offers an insider look at the latest developments affecting payroll professionals as well as updates from decision makers and federal officials at the association’s three-day virtual event.

On April 22-24, government representatives and industry experts joined together online to provide insight into the latest developments affecting the payroll profession at APA’s Virtual Capital Summit, sponsored by DailyPay. One topic – how federal agencies and employers are coping with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis – was discussed in every session.

COVID-19 News and Updates

Every speaker mentioned the challenges COVID-19 has presented for payroll. From the first session on “Payments in a Pandemic” to the last session on child support, industry experts, payroll professionals, and federal officials shared how to tackle COVID-19 challenges and gave their insight on dealing with the current crisis.

Officials with the IRS, DOL, and USCIS explained the new laws enacted by Congress and the agency regulations they created.

Compliance News

The Special Report also covers information taken directly from government experts at the IRS, SSA, OCSE, DOL, USCIS, and DOJ on a wide range of issues affecting payroll.
