APA Creates Webpage Dedicated to COVID-19 Coverage

Written by Curtis E. Tatum, Esq. | Mar 20, 2020 6:30:09 PM

As federal, state, and local government agencies respond to the spread of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), they are working to provide guidance for employers and employees. To help keep you informed of the latest information, APA has created a new Compliance COVID-19 Payroll Resource Center dedicated to providing information on COVID-19

The COVID-19 Payroll Resource Center contains links to APA resources, education links, and government agency websites. Many federal agencies have created their own websites to provide information and guidance about COVID-19. The Hot Topic webpage provides links to these government agency websites along with direct links to items of particular interest to payroll professionals.

As more information becomes available, the Hot Topic webpage will be updated with APA News articles and in-depth analysis of new legislative and regulatory requirements from Payroll Currently. The webpage also has a link to APA’s Resource Library, which has links to state websites for child support, labor, new hire reporting, unclaimed property, unemployment insurance, withholding tax, and workers’ compensation.

Education Available

The Education Links will include details about APA educational programs related to COVID-19 as they are finalized. On April 9, from 11:00 am. to 12:30 p.m. EDT, APA will present the webinar Understanding the Impact of COVID-19 on Federal and State Payroll Compliance. APA’s Virtual Capital Summit, April 22-24, will include a session about processing pay in a pandemic and many sessions will touch on the payroll implications of COVID-19.
