The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) 2024 Employer Information Report (EEO-1) Component 1 data is due June 24 [EEOC, 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 Data Collection Is Now Open, 5-20-25]. When the collection opened on May 20, the EEOC announced the reporting period will not have any extensions. Therefore, it is critical that employers meet the June 24 deadline to be in compliance with their filing obligations.
Beginning with the 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection, all communications sent to filers will be electronic. No notifications about the 2024 collection will be sent to filers through postal mail.

The EEOC recommended that employers should read the 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 Instruction Booklet to ensure they comply with the filing requirements. The booklet may be accessed on the EEOC’s dedicated EEO-1 Component 1 website.
Employers are strongly advised to visit www.eeocdata.org/eeo1 for the latest updates regarding the 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection. Employers can also contact the EEO-1 Component 1 Filer Support Team through the online Message Center on the website.
