2024 EEO-1 Data Collection Due June 24

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) 2024 Employer Information Report (EEO-1) Component 1 data is due June 24. When the collection opened on May 20, the EEOC announced the reporting period will not have any extensions. Eligible employers will be out of compliance if they do not meet the filing deadline.

No notifications about the 2024 collection will be sent to filers through postal mail.

Employers are strongly advised to visit www.eeocdata.org/eeo1 for the latest updates regarding the 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection. Employers can also contact the EEO-1 Component 1 Filer Support Team through the online Message Center on the website.

Once data collection closes for a reporting cycle, employers are not able to correct or update any workforce demographic data reported during that cycle.

Which Businesses Must Submit Report

Employers with 100 or more employees and federal contractors with 50 or more employees are required to file an EEO-1 with the EEOC, which includes information on race, ethnicity, and sex by job category. Employers count employees for purposes of this EEO-1 report during a “workforce snapshot period” between October 1 and December 31.
