Workshop Leaders Envision High-Tech Changes for Payroll
As technology continues to develop at a furious pace, a Tuesday Congress workshop will delve into what it means for the future of payroll and inspire attendees to embrace what is coming.
“What Every Payroll Professional Needs to Know About Emerging Payroll Technologies” will address topics such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and predictive analytics, as well as blockchain and 5G technologies. It will conclude with a roundtable discussion.
Joe Ziska, BMW Manufacturing’s Section Manager Compensation and Organizational Management, and Fidelma McGuirk, Founder and CEO of Payslip in Ireland, will lead the session.
Ziska said he will draw from his technology background to lead the workshop.
“Many payroll professionals I know love to pursue new technology once given some ideas of how it could apply to their area,” he said. “I’m very passionate about supporting them.”
Ziska expects payroll to undergo major changes in the next five to 10 years because of technology and wants attendees to find “inspiration that they and their organizations can benefit from emerging technology in ways they may never have dreamed about.”
The workshop will take place during Session 4 Tuesday from 2:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. in Grand Ballroom #1.
