Workshop Hopes to Shine Light on Millennials in Workplace
What makes a good, effective leader in today’s workplace? Find out on Wednesday morning during the Congress workshop “Millennial Leadership,” which will explore effective leadership traits that bridge the growing generational gap.
Attendees will learn more about the millennial workplace during the workshop. Topics covered include how to motivate and lead millennials and how to grow and thrive under millennial leadership roles.
“Millennial Leadership” is presented by Mike Schoelles, CPP, Payroll Director at Bright Horizons, and Laurel Serra, CPP, Director of Payroll at Palm Beach State College.
“This workshop will help get rid of the stereotypes that millennials face in the workplace and give everyone a better perspective of what is really happening,” Schoelles said.
Schoelles and Serra will present two points of view during the workshop: one from a person leading a corporate millennial team, and the other from a millennial leader facing some unique challenges.
“We hope to have attendees leave the session with a better understanding of how and why millennials do what they do and how to have a better interaction whether as a leader or being led by a millennial,” Schoelles said. “This better understanding will be powerful for current and upcoming leaders of any generation if they want to be successful in their careers.”
“Millennial Leadership” will take place tomorrow during Workshop Session 6 from 9:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m. in Room 201 AB.
