Priti Rughani, CPP, Associate Director of Global Payroll at King & Spalding LLP, is this year’s recipient of the Global Payroll Titan Award, presented by PayrollOrg.Priti is a tremendously experienced global payroll leader who has processed and managed payroll at various organizations for more than 25 years. Her numerous global payroll responsibilities leverage her considerable payroll experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and North America to focus on solutions that help global organizations deliver and manage multi-country payroll in effective and innovative ways.

Recognized by her peers as a global payroll expert, Priti serves as Chapter President of the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association, including as the chapter’s Hospitality Chair. She has been a member of the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association since 2011.

“I was shocked when I received the news that I was the recipient,” Priti said. “I had to read it twice before it registered. I was shocked and excited both at the same time. I immediately told my husband…who congratulated me but did not understand my excitement. I then phoned my payroll friends from the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association—Ansleigh Smith, CPP; CJ Easterling, CPP; and Levi Meeske, CPP—and told them with excitement that I had won. They were all very happy for me and congratulated me. I want to thank Payslip.com, who nominated me and my colleagues.”

The Global Payroll Titan award program celebrates, empowers, and recognizes payroll professionals who are responsible for processing multi-country payrolls. A titan is a positive influence in the industry who demonstrates innovative thinking and above-and-beyond commitment to the profession.

From 15 February-19 March 2024, payroll professionals worldwide had the chance to nominate the Global Payroll Titan in their lives. Nominees for consideration must have worked in some capacity in the global payroll industry and have a minimum of three years of payroll processing experience. The 24 eligible nominees were channeled to the “People’s Choice” public voting portion of the program, followed by an anonymous peer review of nominees by a panel of global payroll professionals, concluding the decision-making process.

“Being named Global Payroll Titan is an honor, and I feel very humble to receive this award,” Priti said. “There were so many great candidates and just to be nominated among them was a privilege.”

This year, the Titan receives free education from PayrollOrg, a special citation, and a digital badge to include on their LinkedIn profile and email signature.

When asked how she plans to use her rewards, Priti responded “Global payroll is my passion as I enjoy learning about the different rules and regulations and then applying them to ensure that the company I work for is always compliant,” Priti said. “I will use this award to better myself, continue learning, and mentor others.”
