Fidelma McGuirk of Ireland becomes the third recipient of the award Wednesday, June 3, during the American Payroll Association (APA) and GPMI’s Congress Xstream virtual conference.
In accepting the award, she said that GPMI “recognized for the first time that global payroll is a separate profession with specific challenges that are met by additional skillsets by fantastic leaders across the world.”
She said its education and networking events have made “a massive positive impact on many companies around the world.”
She has more than 20 years of experience in international business and has led multinational HR and IT functions.
To help employers standardize and centrally manage their global payroll operations, she founded her automation and integration technology business in Ireland in 2016.
“Global payroll can be enhanced and improved with successful implementation of automation, integration, and standardization,” she said of being selected for the Global Vision Award. “It is absolutely possible to have standardized global payroll in a way that has a positive user experience for global payroll people centrally or decentrally.“
In 2018, McGuirk also became the first President of GPMI’s Dublin chapter, the first GPMI chapter in Europe.
