pegine-1Wednesday’s workshop “Power Women V.A.L.U.E.” was a hit among all Congress goers during Session 4.

Attendees embraced their inner “Power Woman” at this Leadership Excellence Series workshop and were taught to express it in various ways via communication and engagement.

The workshop was led by Pegine Echevarria, who goes simply by Pegine, a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and author.

“This program goes deeper into how women can be confident, charismatic, influential, and impactful,” Pegine said. “It covers a range of techniques and strategies that women can use immediately to be seen, be heard, be bold, and be brave.”

Pegine opened her presentation with an energetic theme that doubled as a mantra of her main lessons: Be feisty, be fearless, be focused, have fun.

“I love the theme!” wrote Sue Bradley, CPP, in the chat.

Her workshop began by telling her audience how her life changed when she entered the Girl Scouts as a teenager who was interested in gangs.

“I thought to myself, ‘You are worth something more, you are destined for something more,’” Pegine said. “It was time for me to get out.”

Pegine shared with attendees how to be a Power Woman, which immediately connected with attendees in the chat. The chat was active with attendees interacting with one another about their own experiences in Girl Scouts and empowering each other.

“Payroll woman ARE feisty!” wrote Kathleen Burke, CPP.

Pamela Johnson added: “She definitely makes me want to change my introvert ways."

Throughout the presentation, the animated Pegine shared with attendees various ways that they should be unapologetically bold, from their image to their voice and actions.

“A power woman embraces her own magnificence,” Pegine said. “I love women who strive to better themselves and strive for power.”

Pegine left the audience with a key message about how they should value themselves.

“You need to know yourself and who you are and why you are special, or else you’ll never value how you are a Power Woman.”
