Ten exceptional individuals were honored with Meritorious Service Awards by PayrollOrg for their leadership and outstanding service to the organization. The awards were presented during the 2024 Virtual Congress & Expo that is taking place July 10-11. The details of each recipient’s service to PayrollOrg, both locally and nationally, are listed accordingly.

Rebecca Coker, CPP, is the Director of Payroll for LifeTime Fitness in Chanhassen, Minnesota. She earned her Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification in 2003 and joined PayrollOrg in 2009. Her volunteer service includes the Education Grant Committee; Government Relations Task Force (GRTF) Federal Issues, Retirement Accounts, and State and Local Topics Subcommittees and Unemployment Insurance Workgroup; Social Networking Committee; and the Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force (SPLTF) Best Practices Subcommittee. She is an active member of the NorthStar Chapter where she has served in numerous leadership roles including President and Treasurer.

Michael Evink, CPP, is the Office Manager at Fleetside Ford in Osceola, Iowa. He joined PayrollOrg in 1993 and earned his CPP in 1996. His volunteer service includes the Ask an Expert Committee and the SPLTF Small Employers’ Best Practices Subcommittee.

Tristann Graves, CPP, is the Payroll Manager at Dave in Vancouver, Washington. She joined PayrollOrg in 2012 and earned her CPP in 2018. Her volunteer service includes the Chapter Recognition Committee, GRTF Federal Issues and State and Local Topics Subcommittees, Social Networking Committee, and the SPLTF Global Payroll Subcommittee. She is a member of the Portland Metropolitan Payroll Association, where she has served as Secretary and Webmaster.

Catherine Honey is the Vice President of Global Alliances at Neeyamo in Boston, Massachusetts. She joined PayrollOrg in 2009. Her volunteer service includes the Global Education Advisory Committee, Global Payroll Editorial Advisory Board, National Speakers Bureau, and SPLTF Global Payroll, Outsourcing Practices, and Shared Services Subcommittees.

Carney Kim, CPP, is the Payroll Manager for Alexander & Baldwin in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned his CPP in 2012 and joined PayrollOrg in 2016. His volunteer service includes the Ask an Expert Committee, Board of Advisors, Board of Contributing Writers, Education Advisory Committee, and SPLTF Best Practices and Small Employers’ Best Practices Subcommittees. He is an active member of the Hawaii Chapter and has served as President and Study Group Coordinator.

Deveri Stines is the Executive Director of Payroll and Time Operations for JP Morgan Chase in Fredericktown, Ohio. She joined PayrollOrg in 2001. Her volunteer experience includes Ask an Expert Committee, Board of Contributing Writers, Global Payroll Editorial Advisory Board, and the SPLTF Best Practices, Emerging Technologies, Global Payroll, and Shared Services Subcommittees.

Emmett Swan, CPP, is the Senior Compliance Advisor for Gusto in New York City. Emmett joined PayrollOrg in 2009 and earned his CPP in 2010. His volunteer service includes Ask an Expert Committee, Chapter Recognition Committee, GRTF Federal Issues and State and Local Topics Subcommittees, and the SPLTF Best Practices and Small Employers’ Best Practices Subcommittees. He is a member of the New York Metropolitan Chapter, where he has served as Webmaster and Local Administrator.

Crystal Thomas is the Payroll Manager for ActionNet, Inc. in Vienna, Virginia. She joined PayrollOrg in 2012. Her volunteer experience includes the GRTF Child Support, Federal Issues, and Garnishments Subcommittees.

Daniel Thompson, Jr., CPP, is the Director of Payroll Services for Bath and Body Works in Columbus, Ohio. He joined PayrollOrg in 2013 and earned his CPP in 2022. He is a volunteer of the Board of Contributing Writers and the SPLTF Emerging Technologies, Global Payroll, and Health Care Subcommittees. He is a member of the Columbus Area Chapter.

Max van der Klis-Busink is the Head of Service Delivery for Payzaar in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He became a PayrollOrg member in 2020. He serves on PayrollOrg’s Board of Directors as the Vice President of Global Strategy. His volunteer service also includes the Global Education Advisory Committee, Global Payroll Editorial Advisory Board, SPLTF Global Payroll Subcommittee, and he has been a guest on the “PayTalk” Podcast®.
