KPMG’s Montgomery Is PayrollOrg’s 2026 Special Friend
John Montgomery, a Partner in the Employment Tax Services Group at KPMG, received PayrollOrg’s Special Friend Award during today’s Payroll Congress General Session.
Receiving this recognition was a pleasant surprise to Montgomery.
“It is very exciting to receive this recognition on behalf of KPMG and highlights our expertise and commitment to excellence,” he said.
For more than a decade, Montgomery has been a key advocate who actively promoted the benefits of PayrollOrg membership and corporate involvement, the critical importance of earning a payroll certification, and the vital significance of continuing education for payroll professionals.
“John and his team are some of our strongest supporters. He brings a positive attitude to tackle every challenge head-on,” said Dan Dycus, CPP, PayrollOrg’s Senior Director of Education Services. “He is always willing to lend his unwavering support to other payroll professionals within PayrollOrg.”
Montgomery and members of his team have attended Payroll Congress more than a dozen times over the years, where they frequently would hold community outreach events in host cities to connect with payroll professionals and meet regularly with PayrollOrg staff members.
He has also been a regular speaker at PayrollOrg events over the years, where he has continually endorsed the benefits of membership and education.
In March, Montgomery and other KPMG team members spoke about critical payroll issues during PayrollOrg’s Capital Summit, held annually in Washington, D.C.
“We are very excited to see KPMG recognized as a leader in the payroll world for payroll consulting and compliance,” Montgomery said.
