GPMI’s 2021 Global Payroll Titan to Speak at Congress Xstream
Davida Lara, CPP, is this year’s recipient of the Global Payroll Titan Award, presented by the Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI), and is returning this year at the APA’s 2021 Congress Xstream.
Lara is the Executive Vice President of Payroll Services at Entertainment Partners (EP), which manages entertainment payroll, workforce management, finance, and other integrated production management solutions. She was an industry expert speaker during the 2020 Congress Xstream and is a regular contributor to PAYTECH magazine with her column “Payroll Is Sexy.”
“I am beyond grateful to have been chosen for this honor,” Lara said. “Thank you to everyone who voted and to all of the extremely talented individuals who were nominated along with me as well. I am humbled to work in such a fantastic industry and do a job I’m so passionate about with an amazing team!”
Lara will again return this year on May 18 at Congress Xstream and will help kick off this year’s great lineup of industry expert presentations.
The Global Payroll Titan award program celebrates, empowers, and recognizes payroll professionals who are responsible for processing multi-country payrolls. A Titan is a positive influence in the industry who demonstrates innovative thinking and above-and-beyond commitment to the profession. This year, 22 eligible global payroll professionals were nominated by their peers, and 4,029 votes were cast for the People’s Choice portion of the award.
According to Lara’s nomination, “Davida is bringing thought leadership and forward-thinking innovation through technology and service and continuously drives payroll forward to meet the needs of the evolving production workflow in entertainment or any other industry.”
Her nomination also states that Lara empowers her team by giving them “the ability to challenge themselves to deliver exceptional service and implement solutions while staying on top of regulatory changes.”
Congress Xstream attendees can view Lara during the Opening General Session, which starts at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
