Getting Around National Harbor
There are many ways to travel around National Harbor, Maryland, during this week’s stay for the American Payroll Association’s (APA) 36th Annual Congress.
The National Harbor Circulator bus is the city’s newest mode of transportation. For a $5 all-day pass, you can travel from the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center to any National Harbor hot spot, including Tanger Outlets. The Circulator, which runs every day including holidays, has an app compatible with Apple iOS and Android. Go to the Circulator’s website for details and the latest schedule.
If you enjoy the water, than travel on the Potomac River and see the waterfront from a different angle on a water taxi. The Alexandria-National Harbor Water Taxi travels daily between the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, and Alexandria City Marina. The Potomac Riverboat Company also offers a variety of sightseeing tours including Mount Vernon, the Washington monuments, and more.
Reservations for the water taxi can be made online or at the ticket booth based on availability; however, advanced purchases are recommended. Prices vary by route.
Be sure to check out the National Harbor area.
