Expo Grand Opening Inspires Payroll Pros
Wednesday’s Expo Grand Opening had excited Congress participants loading up on bags to hold handouts and free tchotchkes, and everyone was pumped about their chance to win designer handbags. But those weren’t the only things they came for. Many attendees were shopping for the latest in payroll software, advice about how to tackle tricky tax rules, and new ideas for inspiration and rejuvenation.
“I feel energized in the industry again,” said Alivia C. Williams, CPP, Senior Payroll Administrator at DSW, Inc.
Likewise, vendors peddling their wares, including Toni Coon, Industry Marketing Manager at Kronos, were happy to see potential customers.
“Being able to talk to customers in person is invaluable,” she said. “Face-to-face interaction is so important. It all feeds the energy to your booth.”
Brian Slowik, rapid! Paycard Co-founder, said he was pleased with the Expo.
“So far it has been fantastic," he said.
Echoing the sentiment, Conduent Vice President of Payroll Gerald Whittmore, CPP, said, “For us it’s a great venue.”
