The Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA, 2300 E. Ocean Blvd.) is an historic landmark overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Since its founding in the 1950s, the museum has acquired a permanent collection including more than 3,200 works spanning 300 years of American and European art and hosting exhibitions of all media types. The museum also offers nearly free (typically around $3 per person) educational programs for both children and adults, half-price admission ($5) on Fridays, and free admission after 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA, 628 Alamitos Ave.) is the only museum in the country dedicated exclusively to modern and contemporary Latin American and Latino art. The museum also hosts a variety of events, including workshops, lecture series, and concerts. MOLAA offers free admission every Sunday and every fourth Thursday between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

The Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum (PIEAM, 695 Alamitos Ave.) features the diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands with a permanent collection of more than 1,000 works, rotating exhibits, and educational programs. View artwork and cultural traditions including island tattoos, carvings, and oral, musical, and movement arts.
