Nadia Camarena, CPP, Director of Global Payroll Operations for Netflix, was named PayrollOrg’s 2026 Global Vision Award recipient.

Camarena received the award today during the General Session at the 44th Annual Payroll Congress in Nashville, Tenn.

“It was really a special moment. I’ve been involved with the payroll community for many years, so receiving that communication directly from the organization felt incredibly meaningful and personal,” she said. “I was honestly emotional; just incredibly grateful and humbled by the recognition. It was truly exciting, and yes, I was genuinely surprised.

Camarena became a PayrollOrg member in 2011 and earned the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification the same year.

She has an extensive background in finance and accounting, global payroll management and operations, general ledger, and more. Throughout her career, she has been a driving force in providing strategic global payroll expertise and is considered a passionate global payroll leader.

“Payroll is often a behind-the-scenes function, so being recognized on a global stage like Payroll Congress is incredibly humbling,” she said. “I’ve always focused on building strong teams and scalable solutions, so to have that work acknowledged in this way is both energizing and deeply appreciated.”

Camarena is responsible for managing a team at the Netflix home office in Los Angeles as well as teams in Amsterdam, Mexico City, and Singapore, supporting over 300 million subscribers in more than 190 countries.

She leads a strong global team to ensure an efficient and effective payroll infrastructure, allowing the opportunity to process payroll in as many regions as possible.

“Personally, this recognition means a great deal because it reflects not just on my journey, but the many mentors, peers, and team members who have supported and challenged me along the way,” she said. “Professionally, it reinforces the importance of elevating payroll as a strategic function within organizations. I see this award as a reflection of the impact that strong leadership, innovation, and collaboration can have on a global scale. It motivates me to continue investing in the next generation of payroll professionals.”
