Bisa Honored as PayrollOrg’s Government Partner During Virtual Congress & Expo
Realuz "Rea" Bisa was named PayrollOrg’s 2023 Government Partner Award Recipient during the 2023 Virtual Congress & Expo Opening General Session on June 21.
Bisa, who is the Management and Program Analyst in the Verification Division of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), first worked with PayrollOrg in 2019 when she participated as a speaker at Payroll Congress.
She built an immediate connection with payroll professionals in her ability to clearly communicate the requirements for the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
Since then, she has taken a lead role in working with PayrollOrg’s Government Relations Division to keep members informed of any regulatory changes.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bisa kept payroll professionals informed of relief measures; in particular, the temporary measures to allow employers to conduct remote document review.
In 2022, she partnered with PayrollOrg to present a webinar to nearly 900 attendees titled, “Form I-9 –The Employment Eligibility Verification Process.” Then in early 2023, she presented another webinar, this time on the E-Verify process to more than 1,200 payroll professionals.
She has also reached out to the PayrollOrg-affiliated Hawaii Chapter to share information on USCIS requirements during the employee onboarding process. As the USCIS restructured its employment verification division to offer training through different divisional offices, Bisa helped PayrollOrg with introductions to USCIS presenters.
“It’s been a pleasure working with PayrollOrg, specifically Alice Jacobsohn, Esq., and Steve Hodgson, a set of highly talented people who shows genuine interest in others,” Bisa said. “PayrollOrg creates an inspiring environment and provides opportunities to meet great experts in the industry.”
