The APA this afternoon honored Cathy Beyda, Esq., with its Special Friend Award for her work as an advocate for payroll professionals and their employers with regard to their ability to pay employees electronically.
Beyda, of counsel with Paul Hastings, LLP, has chaired the Payroll Card Subcommittee of the Government Relations Task Force for 11 years.
Her work has given voice to the concerns of thousands of payroll professionals.
She has traveled across the country on APA’s behalf to speak with legislators and regulators and to testify at hearings. She has led efforts in 28 states to support, amend, or defeat legislation that would regulate payroll cards as a wage payment method.
She also leads the Paycard User Group for APA members whose companies use or are considering offering paycards.
