If you find yourself at the hotel bar with fellow APA members after an exciting day of workshops and Expo events and want impress them, here’s your chance. These fun global payroll facts will make for a good laugh and fun conversation:

The Swedes are the most generous when it comes to spending time with newborns. In Sweden, parents are entitled to **480 days** of paid parental leave.

Don’t want to pay **income tax** on your earnings? Head over to one of these countries:

- United Arab Emirates
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
- Qatar

Feel like you’re not putting in enough hours at the office? Head over to one of these countries where the work week is **48+ hours**.

Is the commute to work putting a dent in your pocket? Not in **Japan**! The Japanese receive a **commuting allowance** that is calculated using the exact commute and route one takes to and from work.
