Although 2020 presented many challenges, APA local chapters took initiative and adapted to meet their members’ needs. Even if you may have hosted fewer activities than in previous years, we encourage every chapter to enter the 2021 Annual Chapter Contests to share your innovative changes and earn national recognition! The contest flyers are now available to help you get started crafting your winning entries.

Chapter of the Year (Entries due February 12, 2021)
All chapters, big and small, have a chance to earn the title ‘Chapter of the Year’ based on their growth and accomplishments. An optional contest template will soon be available for ease of entry (subscribe to the blog for an update on when and where you can download).
Chapter Pictorial (Entries due March 5, 2021)
Create a PowerPoint pictorial of your chapter activities from this year to display at the 39th Payroll Congress. This year, fewer photos are required, and screenshots may be included!
Best Chapter Website (Entries due March 5, 2021)
Share how you effectively maintained a high-quality website to keep your members informed and engaged. This contest is easy to enter with only six simple questions!
Best Statewide or Regional Meeting (Entries due March 5, 2021)
Did your chapter conference go virtual this year? Share how you adapted the event, what platform you used, and how attendees benefitted.
Review the flyers today to start preparing the information and photos you will need for each entry. If you’re short on chapter photos for this year, there’s still time to request some from members or take screenshots during your December meeting.
Comment below and let us know if your chapter is planning to enter any of the Annual Chapter Contests!
