Spread the Word About Your Chapter on Social Media

In the busy world of payroll, promoting your next local chapter event on social media is now a must-do to help your members keep up with your chapter’s activities.  It’s also a great way to gain new members and stay connected.  Maintaining a social media presence is easier than you realize.

Here are few pointers for putting social media to work for your chapter:

  • Make sure your profile contains important info about your chapter including your website, logo, chapter officers, and more.
  • Every time your chapter has an event, whether it’s a chapter meeting or a volunteer opportunity, share it on social media.
  • Consistency is key! Posting on your chapter’s social media platforms on a frequent basis lets current members (and potential members) know the chapter is active and engaged. This will create a ‘buzz’ within your chapter’s community and encourage more engagement!  Lots of chapters do a great job of this.  See some samples below!
  • Find out which social media platform works best for your members, and make the most of it. Some great examples of how local chapters are using an assortment of social media tools include:

Atlanta Chapter- Posts photos of chapter meetings, Statewides, and upcoming reminders to Instagram
