Resources for Chapter Leaders at Your Fingertips

Are you a leader in one of the many local chapters of the APA or considering becoming a chapter leader?  Did you know that chapter leaders have tons of information and resources available at their fingertips?  All of this great information can be found on the APA Local Chapters blog!

The Chapter Relations team put a lot of work into creating one location that contains guides and forms that chapters need to conduct business, such as the Local Chapter Guide, Chapter Marketing Guidelines, Chapter RCH Guide and RCH Request Form.  This is a great resource for newly elected chapter officers or board members for newly formed chapters of the APA!

The blog was rolled out during the Chapter Leadership Summit at MEET Las Vegas in October 2016 and provided the network to share the wonderful experiences with other chapter leaders who were not able to attend.  It is monitored by the Chapter Relations team and welcomes contributing writers to submit articles that will assist fellow chapter leaders with words of wisdom about the different facets of running a local chapter.

The Connect page on the blog, contains the contact information for the APA Chapter Relations team as well as the social media handles for the team on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.  Chapter leaders are encouraged to add #APAChapters to all tweets to ensure that your news is being shared with the team and other chapter leaders.  The About page contains links to email the Chapter Relations team as well as the Board of Advisors.  Chapter officers are encouraged to contact their region’s advisor or the Chapter Relations Department if they do not feel comfortable sharing with other local chapters.

Chapter officers are encouraged to subscribe to the blog to get the most current guidance and chapter updates from the Chapter Relations Department, Board of Advisors, and Chapter Recognition Committee.  The frequency of notifications can be set according to preference when you subscribe.

To be extra helpful, here is an idea for your chapter’s next tweet:  Excited to learn and share lots of great chapter info on the APA Chapter Blog #APAChapters

See you on the blog!
